Kayla joined Paulsen Gilgan & Cottle as an associate in 2017 after graduating from Willamette University School of Law. During law school, Kayla achieved the Best Trial award in the Willamette Family Law Clinic. She is known for being personable with her clients and fighting for the best possible outcomes, whether that is through settlement or trial.
Kayla's practice focuses on divorce, parenting time, custody, and modifications. She also has unique experience in move-away cases and is frequently appointed to represent children. Kayla represents clients from all walks of life across nearly every corner of Oregon.
Kayla was born and raised in McMinnville, Oregon. When she is not in the office or courtroom, Kayla spends time with her teenage daughter, enjoys wines of the Willamette Valley, and loves taking in sporting events. She is a dedicated mother and traveler while also utilizing her spare time for public service. Kayla has served as a City Councilor for the City of Lafayette since 2018 and is the current City Council President.
