Paralegal
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents related to family law cases, including divorce petitions and child custody agreements.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and securely.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel to schedule appointments, gather information, and coordinate proceedings.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
- Prepare and file court documents electronically, adhering to jurisdictional requirements.
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and providing administrative support during hearings and trials.
- Stay updated on changes in family law regulations and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness in assisting attorneys.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification preferred.
- Previous experience in family law.
- Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and file management.
- Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology related to family law.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
