Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents related to family law cases, including divorce petitions and child custody agreements.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and securely.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel to schedule appointments, gather information, and coordinate proceedings.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
  • Prepare and file court documents electronically, adhering to jurisdictional requirements.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and providing administrative support during hearings and trials.
  • Stay updated on changes in family law regulations and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness in assisting attorneys.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in family law.
  • Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and file management.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology related to family law.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
